Lunch hour

Lunch Hour

had to change the scenery
even if it's just for an hour in between
the work
material quest for necessity
beyond that I meet the needs
of my soul
I could own everything
still may not mean anything
just so you know
run where I can be free
to embrace all that's in me
then let it go

that's where you come in
the one I know
who doesn't fit the mold
refusing to give in
it gives me courage
your strength inspires
makes me believe
I can go higher
